1. Influence of clearance factors

2. Effect of internal and external pressure difference

The leakage is proportional to the internal and external pressure difference at the seal. The greater the pressure difference, the greater the leakage.

3. Effect of medium viscosity

The leakage amount is inversely proportional to the medium viscosity. The smaller the medium viscosity is, the easier the leakage will occur.

4. Effect of seal length

In gap damping, the leakage is inversely proportional to the seal length. The larger the seal length is, the less likely it is to leak.

5. Effect of ambient temperature

The leakage amount is in direct proportion to the ambient temperature. Generally, when the temperature rises, the viscosity of the liquid medium becomes thinner, and the molecular movement of the gaseous medium intensifies, which increases the leakage amount.

6. Performance influence of sealing materials

Including the material's compactness, compression flexibility, wear resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and processing performance, all can determine the change of the leakage condition.

7. Speed influence of relative motion

For seals in rotary shaft or reciprocating motion, the relative motion speed has the greatest impact on the leakage. Generally speaking, the higher the rotating speed of rotary shaft, the faster the medium leakage. In addition, in the reciprocating motion, the medium leakage is closed.

8. Impact of machine tool vibration and impact

The vibration and impact generated by the machine tool itself or by external forces have a direct impact on the medium leakage.
